Family Promise of Whatcom County
Family Promise is a national initiative that is locally run by the Interfaith Coalition. It is a community effort by local parishes and congregations to each provide one week of housing and meals for up to five families (14 individuals maximum) four times per year. The goal of the initiative is to help the families involved move from homelessness to housing and the success rate is extremely high because of the holistic approach of the program.

UPDATE FROM OUR PARISH COORDINATORS:
“Since our opening in April 2018, we have served 38 individuals; 25 children and 13 adults. While in the program, families have been connected to employment opportunities, received weekly health care advice, been connected to legal counsel, obtained child care, job training, transportation, housing opportunities and more. But the most important thing they have received is the opportunity for fellowship.” --Carolyn Roy
